How To Fix YouTube buffer stop
This happens because of a technology called Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH), which YouTube uses to deliver video more efficiently (at least from its perspective). But while it saves YouTube the trouble of having to deliver data that someone might not watch, it causes problems for people like you, who have very slow connections. is to disable DASH. The problem is YouTube won’t let you do that. However, it is possible to do it in Chrome using a free add-on called YouTubeOptions (https://chrome.google.com/Youtube). With YouTube Options installed, click the Chrome menu button at the top right (three horizontal lines), then Settings followed by Extensions. Next, find YouTube Options in the list and click the Options link. Scroll down to the Playback section and tick the Disable DASH box.
Note that YouTube Options’ default settings also disable various other aspects of YouTube, including adverts and captions so YouTube will look rather different next time you visit. Just return to YouTube Options’ Options page to explore and tweak these settings.

How to speed up YouTube uploads Videos
Uncompressed footage from a DV camcorder adds up to around 13GB of data per hour of recording. Even a three-minute video will be hundreds of megabytes in size, so it’s really no surprise that your clip took so long to upload.
You’re right that compressing it prior to upload is the way forward. Most videoediting tools will offer a way to do this, but if you don’t have anything installed, then Handbrake is a great free option download it from http://handbrake.fr. Once installed, launch Handbrake, click the Source button, followed by Open File, then use the Open dialogue box to choose your video – then click Open. In
the Output Settings section, check that the Container dropdown menu is set to MP4 and tick the Web Optimized box. Click Start and the video will be compressed, with the smaller file placed in the same
folder as the original.
If it’s still too large, then repeat the above steps, but this time click the Video tab and move the Quality slider a little to the left. Click Start to compress the file anew. Obviously the more you move the slider to the left, the worse the resulting video will look so use trial and error to figure out the right trade-off between size/quality and upload time.

How to get Stream music non stop from YouTube
YouTube is undoubtedly the best way to watch and listen to music for free. If you don’t have time to visit the site every time you want to hear a song, you can stream tracks directly to your browser using the brilliant Chrome and Opera add-on Streamus (streamus.com). This lets you search for and play songs on YouTube, and build playlists without having to open the site or watch any videos, effectively turning it into an unlimited free music streaming service and one without adverts, too.
To ensure you get the best sound quality possible, go to Options, Settings and set ‘Song quality’ to Highest. You can also choose to display your playlists in a browser tab rather than in the add-on, and search for tracks by typing streamus followed by the artist or song name into your address bar.
Sadly, Streamus isn’t yet available for Firefox, but the splendid add-on FireTube(http://bit.ly/firetube) also lets you stream songs from YouTube, create playlists and control playback using your keyboard. It offers useful options for viewing videos as well as listening to them, and for downloading tracks to your PC to keep forever. There’s also an Android version of FireTubIe, which costs €1.92

How To FixYouTube videos won't play in VLC
To play a YouTube video in VLC, press Ctrl+N, then paste the URL of the YouTube video into the text box. This should let you play it without being harassed by YouTube’s adverts and other annoyances.
However, pasting the URL doesn’t always work. If so, you may need to download a YouTube ‘playlist’ file (LUA) to replace your default one. Go to slover.secsrv.net/youtube.lua, click Download and save the LUA file (ending in ‘youtube.lua') to your VLC installation directory,which you'll find at
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\playlist. Click Yes if you’re prompted to replace the file that's
already there.
In newer versions of VLC, the ‘playlist’ folder may contain LUAC files instead of LUA files. If that's the case, delete the ‘y0utube.luac’ file from the folder once you’ve download the ‘youtube.lua’ file.
How To Get YouTube notifications in Hotmail
YouTube is a Google service and you need to sign in with a Google account. This is a global account that
works with all Google’s tools, so if you change the email address to which notifications are sent, it will change them globally for every notification from every Google service.
To do this, click the account picture in the top-right corner of the YouTube homepage and click the gear icon to go to settings. Select Notifications on the left and look toward the bottom of the page for the address to which notifications are sent. Click the ‘Google+ notification settings’ link and find your email address in the ‘Notification delivery’ section. If your Hotmail address isn’t there, click ‘Add email address’ and enter it.
You can then select an email address to which all notifications will be sent. If you don’t want to have all your
Google notifications rerouted, and only want to bounce your YouTube emails from your Gmail address, you could set up a filter. Log into Gmail and open one of the YouTube emails. Click the More button and choose ‘Filter messages like these’. The From filter should already be filled in. Click the ‘Create filter with this search’ link, tick the box next to ‘Forward it to’ and click the ‘add forwarding address’ link, if your Hotmail address isn’t already listed. Select it and click ‘Create filter’.
How to use VLC to get more from YouTube
Watching YouTube videos through VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org/) gives you extra
options, such as skipping adverts. Here's how to make the most of them .
To watch a YouTube video, go to Media. In Open (advanced) and click the Network tab. Paste your video's URL into the 'Please enter a network URL' box. Hit Enter or click Play. Previously watched web videos are in the drop-down menu.
Tick 'Show more options' to expand your playback choices. VLC caches a section of your video to prevent buffering. Extend the cache by changing the Caching number. Also change how far through the video you want playback to start.
To play YouTube playlists, install Playlist (bit.ly/PlayList). It will create a file with a .lua extension. Move this into the Playlist folder.° found in C:/Program Files/ VideoLAN/VLC/lua/playlist. Restart VLC and repeat Step 1, using the playlist's URL.
Loop videos and shuffle playlists from the playback bar. To control audio, click Extended Settings and open the Audio Effects tab. On the Video Effects tab,change the video's colour and rotate it. In Synchronization fixes syncing issues.
To keep the YouTube video on top of other windows, go to Video and choose 'Always on Top'. You can also zoom. crop and Take Snapshot. which takes a screen grab of the current frame and copies it to the clipboard.
From the Playback menu, you can change the video's speed. You can also jump forward and backward by 10 seconds for jump to a specific time. Click Custom Bookmarks. Manage and the current frame will be bookmarked.
How To upload longer videos to Youtube
I didn’t realise until recently that all YouTube users can upload videos over 15 minutes in length by simply verifying their account. This is really handy if you’ve put together a long edit from a holiday or something similar, and want to be able to share it with your friends and family.
To verify your account, open the video upload page at www.youtube.com/upload and click the ‘Increase your Iimit’ link. You can then choose between receiving a verification code via text message or an automated phone call. Once you’ve entered the code, you’ll be able to upload videos up to 11 hours in length and 128GB in size! You can also enable any rejected videos you uploaded before verifying the account by selecting ‘Activate this video’ in your Video Manager.
How To Hide The Time On YouTube Videos
Sometimes knowing exactly how many minutes are remaining can impair your enjoyment of a video, such as when you’re watching a sporting event and don’t know the final result yet, or are enjoying a clip so much you never want it to end. Anticipation for YouTube (http://mzl.la/anticipation) handily hides the time and the progress bar on videos at the click of a button, so you don’t have any idea how long you’ve got left. It even hides the durations of videos in the sidebar, though it does at least let you skip back and forth through clips using the arrow keys.
How To Browse and play videos without opening YouTube
I know Google is the best search engine overall, but I really like some features in Bing, especially the
video search category. You’d think that because it owns YouTube, Google would be best for searching for videos online, but it isn’t. Type any search term in Google, then click the Video filter. You’ll get all the relevant videos from different sources, including YouTube. Now carry out the same video search in Bing and select the Videos option at the top. All your videos will be listed as a grid. You can scroll over the thumbnails of any video to start playing it without opening YouTube. You can also modify your search by length, date, resolution and source. Th is is better than Google, especially when you’re trying to search for a specific video.
