Excel comes with some useful hidden tools that aren’t installed by default. Th e Analysis Toolpak can simplify complex data analysis across an entire worksheet or specific sections. Th e Solver tool helps you establish the optimal value for a formula in one cell based on a variety of different defining factors in your worksheet. And the Euro Currency Tools provide a selection of handy conversion functions for European currencies. To activate these tools, click File, Options and select Add-Ins from the left-hand pane. In the right-hand pane, make sure ‘Excel Add-ins’ is selected next to Manage, then click the Go button. In the window that opens, put a tick next to the tool you want to add and click OK.
