Get and alert if your Facebook account is hacked

In Facebook’s Security Settings (on.fb.me/13hnvFG), turn on ‘Login notifications’. This means that if anyone hacks into your account from an unknown browser or a device you’ve never used before, you will be alerted by email, text or push notification. Tick the box to say how you’d like to be notified and click Save Changes. Security Settings also lets you set a security question and a security code.



Each time you access your Facebook account, the device you logged in with is stored. To see this list, and remove any devices you no longer use, expand Recognised Devices and click Remove next to the relevant entries. Active Sessions shows all the devices currently logged into your Facebook account. If you see any you don’t recognise, or want to close a security risk, such as a shared computer, click Edit next to Active Sessions and click ‘End activity’.
