Copy Web content without the Formatting in Firefox
Sometimes, when you copy and paste text from a web page, it comes with extra spaces, special characters and other annoying formatting, often relating to different fonts and colours. One way around this problem is to use the updated Firefox add-on Copy Plain Text 2 (addons.mozilla.org/Copyplaintext), which lets you copy and paste without the junk, simply by highlighting the text. right-clicking and choosing ‘Copy as Plain Text’.
Go into the add-on’s options to decide which unwanted content to filter, including extra empty lines, and to reformat special characters. There's also a useful new feature that lets you set the text-free option as the default copy action to keep all your pasting neat and tidy.
