If you’d like to stream Netfllix films and YouTube videos on your device, but refrain from doing so for fear of using up your mobile data allowance and draining your device’s battery, then you’re in luck. Opera Max is a free app that compresses mobile data used by any app on your device. The latest update ensures you can compress mobile data used by Netflix and YouTube by anything up to 50 per cent. This results in videos loading faster and less data usage (regardless of whether you're using Wi-Fi or mobile data). It also prolongs

your device’s battery life.

Open the app (bit.ly/app). swipe across the introductory screens, tap ‘Agree and Continue’. then Connect. You’ll be prompted to set up a VPN connection; tap OK. You’ll now see a small key icon in your device’s notification area, which indicates that the app is running in the background. While the app's description insists you won’t lose any picture quality, we noticed a (very) slight drop in YouTube’s quality, but videos did load

much faster.

Use your device as normal for a while. then open the Opera Max app. At the bottom, you’ll see a breakdown of all the apps you’ve used since installing Opera Max . On the green line below the app’s title the dark section represents data used. while the light section denotes the amount of data Opera Max has saved you. As you’ll see from the YouTube stats in our screenshot, Opera Max lived up to its promises.
