How Can stop LibreOffice from crashing Window 8
A potential fix is to rename LibreOffice’s ‘user’ folder. To do this, navigate to it when the program is closed by pressing Windows+R and typing %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\openoffice\4 before pressing Enter. The window that opens shows the ‘user' folder, which you can rename to something like user_backup.
After you've renamed the folder afresh, a new user folder is created when you next open LibreOffice and create a new document. If this solves your problem, it was probably caused by a corrupted original user folder. The ‘user' folder holds information such as changed preferences. so it's not uncommon for users to make a copy of a good user folder and keep it handy for when unwanted oddities and quirks suddenly happen. This is similar to Microsoft Word users who might make a copy of a known, good Normal.dot file for similar reasons.
