Since version 5.5, Skype has been using Internet Explorer and Javascript to manage its login screen. If Javascript malfunctions, then you may not see the text boxes whereyou usually type in your Skype username

and password. Click Start, All Programs,Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, then click ‘Run as administrator’.

In the command prompt, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, then press Enter. You should see a message saying: ‘DllRegisterServer in jscript.dll succeeded’. Click OK, then type regsvr32 jscript9.dll and press Enter. You should see a similar ‘succeeded’ message as before. Restart your computer.
