How To Install Cyanogen-Mod using its new installer
Installing CyanogenMod has always been a rather complex affair. It generally involves unlocking the
bootloader, flashing a custom recovery, downloading the ROM, flashing the Google apps and doesn’t
really lend itself to being completed by beginners or the faint of heart. The recent release of the CyanogenMod Installer seeks to resolve this issue (and help encourage the spread of the recently commercialised ROM).
The growing list of supported devices can be found at http://goo.gl/GQbfRf. As part of the effort to be as user friendly as possible, the installer can be downloaded directly from the Play store (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cyanogenmod.oneclick). Note that you will also need a Windows PC to complete the installation (Mac support is to follow). Using the installer to flash the custom ROM may void your warranty on some devices, so proceed with caution.
